To support our users in using the local IT environments, we are looking for an enthusiastic new colleague to join our experienced IT team of 3 system engineers. Together with them you will ensure the seamless operation of this IT environment, which is intensively used by some 300 users. You will also work together with your international colleagues in supporting the SAAS platforms with 1000 users worldwide.
Your responsibilities
As a Junior System Engineer, you will be part of the IT team, consisting of colleagues in the infrastructure team, Applications team, and Data & Reporting team. You will be involved in responsibilities ranging from day-to-day end-user support, maintenance of the existing infrastructure and setup of new configurations. This job offers a unique opportunity to work in an international environment and you can broaden your skills in a diverse range of IT systems and collaborate with a great variety of end-users.
- You install, manage, and document the ICT infrastructure.
- You are responsible for the proper day-to-day operation of systems.
- You act as a point of contact for end users with technical questions and problems.
- You guide end user in the use of ICT tools.
- You work together with external partners, who assist you by providing specialized knowledge, extra supporting manpower and international presence.
- You consult with your ICT colleagues to optimize the systems.
- You make improvement proposals and implement them independently.
- You will report to the IT Manager.
What do we expect from you?
- You have a bachelor's degree in an ICT field. Don't have this? Don't be discouraged, sufficient relevant experience in a similar position is an equal asset. Don't have any experience? This is an ideal job for someone fresh out of school!
- Knowledge of the following technologies is required:
o Active Directory, MS Exchange, Office (365).
o Windows (server/desktop) environments
o Networking (switches, firewalls, security...)
o VMWare and Citrix
o Storage and backup systems - You are fluent in Dutch and English.
